Van Chronicles #1: From Apartments to Van Life Adventures

I find it very kind and beneficial when people are honest about everything they do and share the most valuable lessons with the world. Reflecting individually, transforming collectively. I have to tell you that this kind of traveling with a van stripped me bare of all my reservations and many aspects of my personality, such as being shy in front of others and having very little privacy at campsites. Sometimes, handling #vanlife for the first time made me feel a bit anxious about what others might think. However, I feel so powerful now. It wasn't even a question of choice, but rather the circumstances pushing me to turn my weaknesses into strengths. I have become much more confident in these past 2 weeks, even more than I thought I already was. What a ride life is when you jump into the unknown waters, willing to conquer and learn!

To master something, it is not nearly enough to just watch and listen. What makes it valuable and attainable is when you put what you have learned in theory into action, when you act on it. »Embody it into practice.«, as my partner Gasper says in his teaching on his YouTube channel – see here. I would also like to share his words of wisdom when it comes to turning your theoretical into practical: »Consistent devotion to righteousness is what brings you truly remarkable results, not just a single righteous act. With one good act after another, you build a momentum of positive energy that will eventually return to you.«; this meaning that actually to evolve into a higher level of your consciousness completely, you need to act. You need to practice and see for yourself. Daily experiences are those that make us stronger and make us question the way we live, behave and feel. Certain experience makes us »reroute« our path we walk on daily, switching in a direction that makes us feel brave, inspired and powerful. Direction that keeps us on our toes and makes the fire within us burn bright. I like to say that »You glow when you flow.« 😁

So to conclude this very first post from our travels (yay for me! 🤭🎉), I would say to you that whatever you see out there, especially on social media, has so much more depth than what meets the eye. In my case, traveling with a van is such a blessing and expands one's horizon so deeply. However, we shouldn't forget how many aspects come into consideration to master it, in order to fully enjoy and appreciate it all. That's what I am aiming for with this #vanchronicles, and I hope it broadens your understanding of life and van traveling as well.

Thank you if you have read all the way till here, and cheers to the new adventures and all the insights and stories from the Balkans that I will share. ❤️

And one more thing to mention to understand it all even better: I am Maja and me and my partner are travelling for the first time with our VW California camper van. We started from our home country of Slovenia, all the way through Balkans to currently in 📍 Greece 🇬🇷.

With gratitude,

Maja 🧚🏼‍♀️
