The Power of Positive Perspective During Life's Challenges
To be optimistic and maintain a positive attitude doesn't imply that we will always live in constant happiness. It's a personal choice. Being optimistic means that even during tough and challenging times, we choose to perceive the situation from a dual POV, with the focus primarily on the positive side, while also acknowledging the difficulties and seeking proper solutions. Instead of feeding our minds and hearts with negativity and dwelling on "possible outcomes or what ifs", that undermine our self-worth and well-being, we should recognize them as distractions and eliminate them as soon as we become aware and ready to do so.
To recognize or see them as distractions, we must summon the courage to acknowledge them for what they are. It is natural and often easier to lean on the negative side of the spectrum, thinking "Tomorrow is another day to try; today is not the right time". However, to mentally rise above the ordinary, above these distractions, see yourself from the outside looking in, objectively assessing the situation. This vantage point allows us to grasp the bigger perspective.
The power and impact of our self-talk cannot be underestimated as well. Every spoken word holds so much power and weight. Imagine yourself thinking, acting, and speaking things consciously and clearly. To acknowledge both sides of the coin, with the emphasis focusing on the positive solutions. This shift in perspective and mindset enables us to confront distractions with build-up strength and determination.
Life has its share of ups and downs, and positivity and optimism do not mean denying or ignoring challenges; rather facing them with a proactive and constructive mindset. By doing so, we can embrace life's complexity while maintaining a positive outlook that supports our well-being and growth.
Ask yourself, how far in life can one go if everything is done from a state of lack, constant fear, neglecting our passions, and denying our true selves?
We are all worthy of living an abundant life and it's okay not to be okay all the time. Do not judge, nor label that state and allow yourself to cry and take quality time for introspection and self-reflection. When you start feeling lighter again with the breeze in your step and a smile on your face, that's when the real work should begin. Those who seek and try and fail and try again, are eventually rewarded with a moment in time, when all aligns and evens out in a way, that supports you. On an energetic level, everything works in exchange; you put something in to receive something back. For example, seek solutions with a positive mindset and listen closely to your heart, because, first and foremost, the only one you need to impress and love is yourself.
